The Optimal Rehabilitation program is an individualized, one-on-one therapy and rehabilitation program. Physical, occupational and speech therapy is typically offered up to seven days a week, depending on individual needs and abilities. The goal of Optimal Rehabilitation is to enable individuals to regain as much functional independence as possible, and to return home as soon as possible. Optimal Rehabilitation is more than just restoring mobility and function. It also creates a reserve of strength and vigor that allows therapy/rehabilitation patients to move around with confidence and ease. Through Optimal Rehabilitation, patients are given the chance to achieve their best physical potential.
Using scientifically proven research, tests and measures, therapists evaluate each person’s functional status and identify areas that may be impaired. Once identified, an Optimal Rehabilitation program is developed that targets these functional issues through a unique combination of strength and power exercises, along with specific functional training interventions that can help individuals achieve their mobility goals. Patient progress is assessed through retests of the same evaluation tools.
Optimal Rehabilitation is dose specific, which means the more effort an individual puts into rehabilitation, the more likely the person is to improve and achieve mobility goals. Everyone can gain strength and function in Optimal Rehabilitation, regardless of physical health or medical condition. All that is needed is time and effort, and the professional guidance of the therapy staff.
